Making an appointment
The surgery is an appointment only surgery.
To make an appointment please call the reception desk or make an appointment by the website/app.
When calling for an appointment, the receptionist will always ask you the reason for your call. She will need this information to ascertain the urgency of your complaint and she is fully qualified to do so. The receptionist is legally bound to keep your information confidential (as is the GP).
Home visits
If you are not able to come to the surgery, the GP can come and visit you at home. The receptionist, in conjunction with the doctor, will determine whether a home visit is possible and warranted. A home visit can only be requested by telephone between 08:00-12:00. The GP makes home visits between 12:30-13:30.
Consult by phone
You can also book a consultation by phone. You can call receptionist to book the appoinment or book online. The doctor will call you back on the date of your appointment between 12-14h.
Receptionists and other support services
The receptionists make appointments for the day, home visits and call backs. They can answer most practical questions for example about referrals and prescriptions. You can also call them for the outcomes of blood- and urine tests as well as for repeat prescriptions.
The surgery works in conjunction with the surgery support services. They have their own appointment system for patients who need support managing diabetes or cardiovascular diseases. You can call Kim Haanen and Lia Boots directly on 020-6932542.
The psychology support services are offered by our POH-GGZ Steffi (mental health services). You can make an appointment with her by request through the GP.
Evening, night- and weekend services
The GP emergency services in the evenings, nights and weekends are coordinated through the ‘huisartsenpost.’ (GP hub). At the huisartsenpost, all GP’s in Amsterdam work together to provide these emergency services.
The huisartsenpost services are available only for urgent situations that cannot wait till the following day. You can reach them every weekday after 17:00 until 08:00 the following morning, as well as on Saturdays, Sundays and National Holidays.
Qualified receptionists determine over the phone, what support can be offered to you and where.
